Expert Review
Great all around sights
If you own a Glock, you know how bad the factory sights are. So it's the first thing I upgrade.
Recently acquired a Glock 19 and decided to finally try the XS big dot sights.
I have tried them before but never really done any prolonged shooting with them.
Easy to install and no big overhand so footprint wise they dont interfere with red dot sights in terms of slide real estate.
Easy to acquire and get fast, accurate hits. The ember glow and tritium are great in low light and uneven lighting conditions
Shooting B8's at 25 yds can be a little challenging for me with these sights given the size but they do just about everything else really well.

Excellent! (PS: Orange > Yellow)
Very quick and intuitive sights. And after trying both the yellow and the orange big dots... I have to say the contrast of the orange is MUCH better for acquisition. And even though the orange also glows yellow when charged, it's WAY brighter than the yellow pair I received. My only complaint is how...

Not for everyone
Do you pick up that big dot front easily and quickly? Yes! It's a big freaking dot. But my issue with these sights is not the big dot. It's the rear sight that I can't get used to after learning to shoot with a front post and rear notch. There is no quick reference for vertical alingnment on target....

Quick sites
I am a new shooter so please take this info with that in mind. This site is pretty quick to get on target. With traditional irons I find myself fidgeting a bit to make sure that I’m aligned between the front site and that cutout in the rear site. With this one I just put the dot on target and make sure it’s sitting in the ‘V’ and it works well. Training will make me a better shooter but I am liking the DXT2 a lot so far. For reference, I replaced the suppressor height sites that came stock on my G45 because I didn’t like the taller sites since I’m not using a suppressor.

Quality long lasting solid sights
Have installed this sight system on my carry pieces. Very quick acquisition, not for distant target shooting, although with familiarity, I can hit at 70yds.
Best Used for:
- Self defense, target focus
Would recommend: Yes
Only needed the front sight
The big dot works great with Glock factory rear night sights. Didn’t bother with the rear “i”. This is not a sight for target shooting this is a “center mass” sight. If you want to drive tacks get a RMR, I recommend Holosun scs, but for combat night sights the big dot is the best front sight there is.
Pros:
- Bright front sight
Cons:
- Not especially accurate beyond 7 yards
Best Used for:
- Close quarters edc
Would recommend: Yes
Excellent sights for quick shooting, defensive use
I have tritium night sights on all of my auto loading pistols, defensive rifles and shotgun. These sights are from various high quality OEMs. I use XS Big Dot night sights on all of my handguns that support them- as the large front sight dot makes quick target acquisition easy. I like these Glock DXT2 sights the best out of all of the designs. Excellent products. These are easy to install and comes with all components. However, there are no instructions provided in these kits but an excellent XS provided video on YouTube is available if one has online access.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- defensive

Rusty Sights
These sights became very rusty from everyday carry. I did like the style but I won't use them anymore. Used another brand for over ten years and they have not rusted at all. Would not recommend this product.

Lost rear sight
Rear sight lost at the steel pit during my second range visit. Maybe set screws weren't all the way in, but sight appeared secure. Seemed to have quick target acquisition, but only fair accuracy. Not what I expected for the money.
Pros:
- Quick acquisition
Cons:
- Quality and Price
Would recommend: No
Great EDC sights
I love the sight picture these sights offer all you have to do is place the circle on top of the line and you good to go, easy to pick up fast and are very bright I will definitely recommend these sights.

Worst quality ever
The rear sight was not illuminating when I received it. So I contacted XS Sights and they replaced it for me promptly. A few months went by, then the front sight stopped illuminating so I contacted them again and they sent out a new front sight. Fast forward 6 months and what would you know the front sight not illuminating again. They sent out another front sight this time I never installed it I put it in the safe and not even 3 months later it doesn't illuminate anymore. Their customer service is great but very poor quality products. This is a purchase that I regret and should of got the hint when I received the first ones that didn't illuminate.
Pros:
- Great customer service
- Design of product
Cons:
- Doesn't stay illuminated
Best Used for:
- the garbage can
Would recommend: No

Absolutely worth it
Hesitant at first because of the price, But decided to give it a try. Glad i did, best sights i ever used on any gun. fast easy to align and tritium inserts means you’ll always be able to see your sights. Installation was easy, and they have a lifetime no questions asked warranty.
Pros:
- Warranty
- EASY INSTALL
- Tritium
- Fast Target Acquisition
- Metal, durable
Cons:
- prone to surface rust
Best Used for:
- Self / home defense
Would recommend: Yes
Great sight picture!
I have always had issues with the traditional rear notch. The wide V makes it so much easier to line up my sights! The photo luminescent big dot allows for easy front sight acquisition as your eyes adjust to a lower light environment. The tritium is nice and bright. With my Trijicon night sights, they were cobsiderably dimmer making it hard to focus on the frobt sight in low light. Dotting the "i" is so intuitive.
Pros:
- Quick to pick up sight picture
- Bright tritium capsules
- Installation really is as easy as in the video
Cons:
- Haven't found one yet
Would recommend: Yes
