I love this handuard. It was very easy to install and very light weight. I only gave it 4 stars because the muzzle end is not threaded and it cannot accept the yhm handguard endcap. Otherwise a great product.

Great handguard!

I purchased this to finish up a ground up AR-15 build with my son. The handguard is well built and is easy to install. The install required a special tool from YHM but the tool worked very well. The handguard is not ultra thin but not too bulky - took the rifle to the range and the handguard felt solid; it does not feel loose and I do not suspect that there will be any issue with it loosening with the way it is connected.. Is a little bulky from some with smaller hands but I thought it felt good.

  • not too big but not too slim

  • needed additional tool
  • a little challenging to line up

Terrific Handguard

Got this handguard for a SBR in 300 Blackout with 8.5" barrel and a Silencerco Omega sound suppressor. I wanted the handguard to protect the can but leave enough protruding in order to periodically remove it. The large diameter of the can required a handguard with a large inner diameter, and this 12.6" YHM model fits perfectly in every way. Rock solid mount. Couldn't be more pleased.......even with one that costs 3X more.

Yankee Hill Handguard

Perfect for my new AR-15 223.. Adds looks and very light weight and can easily add picatiny accessory rails for add ons.. Was easy to install without any special tools and can now add my flashlight. what else can you say... it.is yankee hill quality.

Awesome handguard

This handguard is light weight and easy to mount. I really like the keymod feature so I can mount attachments on the 45 degree sides of the handguard. It made attaching my flip up sights and tac light a breeze on the 45 degree angle without having to purchase more angled mounting rails. I would highly recommend this item.
