Most Helpful Positive Review My gun is the loudest at the range
Let me be upfront with this one: this thing is LOUD. When I fired it at the range, everyone stopped and stared. It is actually absurd how loud this thing will make your gun. I wouldn't have bought it if California didn't ban flash hiders. Still, since I have it, I have to say I really like the performance on this piece. Recoil is minimal, the flash - while not hidden - is negligible, and it makes my AR so much fun to shoot. On top of that, it isn't nearly as expensive as some other muzzle brakes and compensators. While YHM isn't the biggest name in gun parts, if this thing is anything to go by...

Very Loud, No Recoil

This compensator is impressive. I brings recoil down to almost zero. However it is extremely loud. Way to loud to be practical. Unless your goal is to scare your target, but it is a great comp to have fun with at the range.

Nice but poor finish

I haven't installed this yet but it seems like a quality Comp/Brake. I only gave it 4 Stars because the finish wasn't the best. It is smooth but it had something all over it making it look dull. I coated it in a light film of CLP and it at least will match the barrel now. It won't stick out like a sore thumb. If the finish isn't something that you really care about, then you'll be satisfied with this.

10/22 TD compatible

Works with my 10/22 TD and it doesn’t interfere with my Backpacker stock. Weight alone should reduce the already minimal muzzle movement. I will try to update once I go out and shoot with it. I do recommend

Massachusetts compliant brake

Since bird cage flash suppressor dare not legal I needed to swap it over. Looks good and no hitches installing it. The recoil on 5.56 is negligible to begin with but it does seem to help compared to my Mossberg Patrol with nothing on it.

Great Muzzle Brake!

This YHM Phantom muzzle brake works great, the 1/2-28 thread is true so it fits My AR15 barrel perfectly. The reduction of muzzle flip and recoil is noticeable, most importantly is that the price is right for what it's for.

Nice brake

Nicely machined
does control muzzle jump, make sure the unslotted area is facing down
bought it because its the same size as a Mil spec flash hider and has the same look as one
surprisingly light weight
comes with a crush washer that fits nice and flush
