Most Helpful Negative Review Gas block sight height adjustment
This riser increased the gas block rail height by .250-- making it parallel with upper receiver rail. Be careful adding sight with plastic parts to gas block as it gets extremely hot. Quality was good. Installed easily. Expensive part but YHM may be only manufacturer of a .250 riser. Save your money...

Fit the bill perfectly

I upgraded to a low-profile adjustable gas block but wanted to keep a provision for a backup front sight. Combined with a gas block featuring a top picatinny rail, this piece was exactly what I needed to get the front sight back to its original position/orientation. Seems to be a rock solid mounting point.

Perfect fit

Works perfectly to raise the height of a flip up front sight to the level of the receiver rail. Mounting is easy. It creates a solid foundation for whatever you want to put on it. The cantilever design made it possible to put on my UTG gas block without interference with the Magpul front grip.

gas block riser

I needed a gas block riser for a DPMS Oracle to raise the gas block to match the rear sight height. This worked perfectly, installed as it should and doesn't look too bad. The three slots look like it provides a lot of adjustability but for my application, only one provides the required location. Overall a good value

I needed a riser for my Stag 9mm lefty and was recommended by Stag to order the Yankee Hill Machine Q.D.S. Gas Block Rail Riser YHM-230 this product works well with the rifle was using another riser by had the the front post turned down to the lowest setting making it hard to see. Anyone mount a front sight on a gas block knows you need a riser or a front sight made to be used on a front gas block sight. Now with this riser everything much better can see the front sight is much easier to see. I purchased it from Optic Planet I received the item quickly and never had a problem with them on any purchase I have made.

Only Gas Block Riser Available

I searched Hi and low for a gas block riser for my AR. Fortunately Optics Planet has the Yankee Hill Riser in stock. It works as advertised. The only issue I had was the screw head stripped as I was tightening it. More my fault, but it was easy enough to replace from my local hardware store.

Just What I Needed

After searching all over the internet I finally found this gas block riser on Optics Planet. It's a little pricey, but still less expensive than buying a quality front sight. Optics Planet seems to always have those hard to find items that I need. Their service is top notch and I always seem to circle back to their site to find what I need. Plus they're the only retailer that always gives a discount of some sort after each purchase.

perfect fit

I bought this to add to the gas block of a DPMS Oracle so I could mount an offset front sight. I couldn't be happier. The quality is great, fit is tight and it brings the rail up to the proper height for my 45 degree sight. I had called Optics Planet to ask why the product was separated from the other items in my order and shipped at a later date when it was listed as "in stock" at time of purchase and they acted quickly to overnight the product to me. Thank you. A solid purchase and I will purchase from Optics Planet and I will buy YHM products again.
