Excellent Product
I usually do not write reviews. But because of the one review on this product that stated "Average Quality" and "Rocks up and down" I felt I had no choice. I bought an anniversary edition Ruger 10-22 with a Picatinny rail. I liked it so well that I purchased an Acog 4 power scope for it! The pro...

Avrage quality
This rail rocks up and down when mounted until you tighten the heck out of it. For my purposes of precision shooting it simply will not do. Go for a Geiselle or larue tactical mounts by far they are much better for my needs.
great product
There aren't that many products in this category that gives you the height you need to raise optics without being bulky or heavy. This one fits the void.

Solid riser/extension
Not the best finish, but it works as expected. The recoil lugs are the cross screws and not a dedicated machined lug, so I would limit this to 308 class cartridges and under or you might see some damage to the weapon pic rail.
Useful for the S&W FCP which has a very far forward rail. This will bring a regular eye relief scope close enough to use.

Yhm extended riser
A+ I would definitely recommend this product .worked perfectly to get the height needed.

Solid Riser
Good quality optic riser for the price. Aids in getting a more heads up position.
Pros:
- Cost effective
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Heads up shooting
Would recommend: Yes
decent riser
Seems like a well made riser. Used it to bring up a red dot on an AR10. Hopefully it holds up to the recoil and my Eotech holds zero.

Nice rail for extending the Picatinny mount forward or rearward for proper eye relief
I have a new Thermal scope on my Remington 700 Short Action rifle that has a much shorter eyepiece than the old one. I cannot move the scope far enough back to get proper eye relief with the standard Picatinny mount that fits the rifle receiver so, I bought this to move the Thermal scope rearward and it works well for this task. This would also work well for a Clip-On Thermal or Night Vision for anyone with one of those on their traditional Remington 700 bolt action rifle.
Pros:
- Quality, fit, and price
Cons:
- N/A
Best Used for:
- adjusting eye relief on a scope
Would recommend: Yes
Useless - Buyer beware
This riser has no blocks that the mounting screws thread into. They simply thread into the frame of the unit itself. So, when you tighten them down, the unit firms up by bending the frame tighter on to your pic rail. I had to tighten to the point where I didn't dare go any further for fear of stripping them out and still, the riser had a lot of looseness. These are on sale with the condition that they cannot be returned! Useless!!
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- Useless
Best Used for:
- throwing money away
Would recommend: No

Alternative Uses on a Israeli made Tavor 7
I used this rail inverted on the bottom of the front forearm pica tiny rail to extend it out for more rail space on my Tavor 7 and it worked out pretty well for that.

Special Use on Tavor 7
I’ve been a gun collector since I was seven years old.
My dad was a Korean War combat veteran and in 1955 he and his veteran friends formed the Fontana Land Rovers Four Wheel Drive Club so practically everyone that I knew was a veteran of these here United States of America as a kid. We had a guy who had served in the Spanish American War, another guy who rode with Black Jack Pershing chasing Poncho Viea across the desert, a bunch of guys that served in WWI-WWII and Korea and everyone had guns and the world was a better place.
The first time I shot a gun I was just 3 years old and when I was 5 I got my first BB gun.
When I was four years old in the summer of 1970 I started working at my dads full service gas station putting gas in cars, at seven I started turning wrenches as a mechanic and that is when I started getting paid and buying guns and motorcycles.
I still have all of my first and family guns, but non of the motorcycles because there was always something better or newer.
So I’ve had a great time shooting guns for fun, hobbies, hunting, competitions, sporting, defense and protection.
In the entrance of trying to find, have and keep the very best tools for all of that I picked up an IWI Israel made Tavor 7 in 308 / 7.62X51mm NATO and having had the experience of being a mechanic, fabricator, racing Bikes, Quads, off road Trucks and the like I’ve learned to make use of different tools, equipment and parts for other reasons than they were invented for....
