Does what it was made to do. Mount a vertical grip you have outstanding control of the weapon. No pressure on barrel, extra area for other useful items. I have had good luck using YHM products. At least 200 builds rifle and carbine.
Cons:
- Sharp edges needs plastic covers.

This hand guard was ordered to be used with the Dolos. It is a Yankee Hill quality item. You will not be able to use the two Yankee Hill barrel nut screws (and are not required to), with the Dolos unless you cut off the end of the screws. Or, leave the mounting holes open. I used my Dremel tool and it was easy enough. There are no short screws that can be purchased for this application. I’m very pleased with this hand guard.
Pros:
- Price
- Quality
- Appearance
- Yankee Hill Customer support

Works well with my billet side charging upper. Recommend having tool to align top rail because of the lack of anti rotation tabs. I needed a rail without the anti rotation tabs to work with my billet side charging upper on my quarter circle ten .45 acp build. Works well solid product

Great rail even though it isn't mill spec. A little dated design but a great rail. The barrel nut seems to thread on in Anderson upper better than it did in the aero Percision for some reason. With it not being milspec you need to take an optic mount and Clampett on where your receiver meets the rail and tighten it down to make sure everything is straight I carry handle may not work since it's not truly milspec .
Best Used for:
- A build where you want heft and rigidity

Make sure you have an armorers wrench for install. Other than that it’s great easy to put on and attachments fit great! First time using the AR and the barrel was smoking thru the diamonds! Front flip up sight on top and vertical grip on bottom. Tac light is on he way

I was shopping around for this hand guard for quite a while. It’s very unique definition caught my attention. After a few days of looking around o notice OpticsPlanet had it at the best price. Not only did I get it for the price I wanted, a few days down the line the price dropped and they made a price adjustment. Great service! Highly recommend them

I had my eye on this product for about a week or so and really wanted it. The price dropped $30 on it and OpticsPlanet had a free 2-day shipping coupon so I had to buy one. When it arrived I immediately put it on, if you have all the necessary parts and knowledge it won't take more than 15 minutes. This free float handguard is very aggressive looking and made my Anderson AR15 much cooler, I highly recommend this

I purchased this forearm for my 16" standard (not bull) barrel AR15. This forearm is very well made and worth the money. I've owned one of the cheaper ones and they don't last and are soft metal. All parts are not created equal. This one is worth a look. You will need a low profile gas block since this will extend out past the gas block and I would recommend the YHM-9484A end cap. It finishes the look of the forearm and looks really good, plus it will keep large debris out. Both install pretty easy and then you have a free floating barrel. I would definitely recommend this product.
Pros:
- well built, solid construction

Bought one. Then bought another and another and yet, another. Have purchased two rifle length forearms, one spectre length, and one pistol length. Very rigid. I used a PRI barrel wrench (PRI #: 05-0082) and a 1/2 breaker bar to tighten per instructions. Used low profile gas blocks. The rail and upper then go into a jig to ensure alignment then I insert the anti rotations screws. Tighten the jam nut with a flat blade screwdriver and a light tap with a ball peen hammer. Fool proof. Exacting. Finish it out with the YHM end cap and some MAGPUL treatments. Buy it and be happy.
