Broken Eyecup
I went to install the extended eyecups since the standard ones have poor eye relief. While following the instructions in the manual using proper technique, the left eyecup broke leaving the retainer ring stuck onto the eyepiece. I would have expected much higher quality for the price.
Great Bino's
Very clear glass and easy to us. Zeiss uses high quality glass and materials. well worth the investment, Just the right size for my deer hunting adventures. They carry well and quick to adjust. Zeiss is my go to optics company.

Zeiss 8x42 Conquest
I own a pair of Nikon Monarch 10x42 binocs and they are pretty decent. I was going to get a pair of Monarch 7 in an 8x42. When I saw the deal on the Zeiss, I bought them instead. These binoculars are definitely better quality! They cost about $250 more, but being made in Germany instead of China was a deal sealer for me. I also considered Swarovski SLCs, but they are $1000 more than the Conquests. I do not think that you can beat these binos for the money. Zeiss sent me the longer eye cups immediately, since I don't wear glasses. Great customer service, great optics, and a great price! Will use for bow hunting in low light conditions. Excellent optics, clear,bright, in all conditions. I have nothing negative to say.

Longer Eye-Cups
As some other reviewers have noted, the eye relief on these binoculars is an issue. I wear contacts and not glasses. I need the longer eye-cups to use these. I have contacted Zeiss in Germany and help is on the way in the form of longer eye-cups. Until then, I am not rating these 5 stars.
