zeiss long range scope 5-25 x 50
Take this review with a grain of salt. I am not a firearms expert, but I am a well experienced eye doctor. We use zeiss microscopes in surgery so maybe I have a slight bias.
Pros:The clarity of this scope is incredible. No discernable peripheral distortion or chromatic aberration .The focus and turret knobs have a great feel- stout, stable but not too stiff.
Cons: Heavy! Big! There’s no mistaking this scope for a hunting scope; in my mind it’s bench only.
I also have a tract Toric which is a clone of this scope. The color saturation on the zeiss scope is more natural to my eye which...

Zeiss LRP S3 4-25x50
I am very impressed with this scope. I use it for rimfire competitions (NRL/NRLX PRS) and it seems to be tailor made for this. The glass clarity and reticle clarity are top notch. I shot one match with it and it greatly improved my shooting. I had a friend who runs a Steiner look through it and he was very impressed. I have not seen anything about it I would change, I do not need as much turret elevation travel as it has but that is fine, I love the locking windage. If I were to have a complaint it would only be that the eye box is small. Eyebox is horrible with every high magnification scope I have seen so I don't think it can be helped. Function of controls are smooth and flawless and glass and reticle clarity are outstanding. This is the most expensive scope I have ever personally bought but it was worth the price, I would buy it again
Pros:
- Glass clarity
- Smooth controls
Cons:
- eye box
Best Used for:
- Match
Would recommend: Yes

Zeiss 4x25x50
Clarity better than most. As it is first focal plane it is hard to use mil marks until 5 plus power. Scope is very heavy. Zero stop would be nice. Weight biggest issue.
Pros:
- Clarity
Cons:
- weight
Best Used for:
- Target...weight
Would recommend: Yes

Zeiss LRP S3.
As you can expect from Zeiss, the glass is great, the choice of reticles is nice, the materials are sturdy and the mechanics work excellent; the only reason I gave it 4 stars is for the weight, it’s heavy, and the eye relief , it’s is a bit surgical to find the sweet spot.
Pros:
- Quality , price , multi use options , tunability
- price, quality, durability
Cons:
- Weight & eye relief
Best Used for:
- Fixed position shooting
Would recommend: Yes
