Zev never fails when it comes to build quality, amazing slide.

Yes. I read all the reviews about Zev slides and in particular this Duty slide which were all very favorable. That was not my experience. The channel in which the ejector rod travels and on which one of the optic lugs sits was not appropriately finished. Zev support merely told me to tap the rod with a hammer and break off any existing burr, but while that allowed the rod to travel in the channel, it was super rough. It marked up the rod and would lead to constant failures to eject. My proshop Glock armorer confirmed the quality control issues and also relayed to me his poor experience with Zev quality. I am glad this works for some shooters. I am not one of them.

Probably one of the best aftermarket Glock 19 Gen5 slides on the market. The fit and finish are exactly what I expected. Being super petty, I knocked off one star because Zev didn't follow the milling of the Glock Gen5 slides with the top edges being a hard edge versus smooth curve. Otherwise, another quality Zev item.

I want with the zev striped upper because of wanting to run a red dot looking at a lot of other options and I wasn’t really interested in the crazy cuts insider all over the place and an affordable price . The zev has a very clean look to me and functions flawlessly first trip to the range. I was very surprised to see it did come with a channel liner already installed. I installed factory Glock upper parts otherwise a Radian Ramjet Barrel with Afterburner and Radian Radian Compressor Quick Tune Guide Rod with the 18lb spring install ran perfect mounted Trijicon Suppressor/Optic Height Night Sights and HOLOSUN HS407C X2 REFLEX SIGHT fit like a glove . If you are thinking of getting the zev duty upper for you Glock do it your going to be happy!

This is exactly what I was looking for to replace my stock Gen 5 OEM slide. I will not use a windowed slide for duty use so this is perfect & hands down far better than the OEM Slide, especially in the optics mounting area. The rounded edges and more subdues serrations are welcome features.. with the front serrations having the proper orientation for a positive easy grip.
Used with OEM internals,& a ZEV Match Pro Barrel, this has run over 1k rounds without fail and still going. Ran everything from 115Grn FMJ to 147Grn, subsonic to +P+. - No problems.
The only negative I have found is this is in compatible with the Holosun 509 Enclosed MRDS.

Absolutely love this slide. Looks amazing and functions great. Not a single complaint. It just works.

I have used 3 of the more popular non-OEM Glock slides on Glock frame pistols so far. With one of the other “big names” I have been 50% successful meaning one of their slides was completely reliable out of the box and the other one ran sometimes.

I currently have 176 rounds through the Zev slide so I am a little shy of my preferred 200 round threshold. To this point I have not cleaned the pistol but I have yet to encounter a malfunction. After the first trip I had concerns with the accuracy I was experiencing but unfortunately I have to admit it was the shooter and not the gun. On the first trip from rest I was getting a little over 3.5” groups from rest at 25 yards with Federal 124 grain JHP ammunition. The next trip out using all the same setup the groups were right at 2.25 inches so it was absolutely me. With that, this setup didn’t care for the Mag Tech steel case ammo (5.5” at 25 yards) but to be fair that ammo falls in my budget practice ammo category. I got slightly better groups with the 115 grain CCI aluminum case ammo but again this is also budget practice ammo. I have yet to try any JHP other than Federal.

I am running this current setup with all Glock OEM parts other than the slide and the sights. Currently I am also using a Holosun 507 and Ameriglo 1 tall black sights which are barely tall enough to clear the deck of the Holosun but are useable should the optic fail. In addition I am using a Steamlight gun light with an IR laser.

Put together using a cross armory slide parts kit, I had to replace firing pin safety, because the Cross Armoury one was causing a heavy trigger pull. So I bought a oem glock firing pin safety. Anyways, all the parts went together good, and the slide comes with a liner pre installed. The optic I’m using is a holosun he407c-gr x2. Everything went together good, using the zev screws that come with the slide. I shot and tested the slide at the range and it worked flawlessly. No malfunctions. It’s a very high quality slide, built to precise standards. Happy with purchase.
