Product Info for SOG Hand Axe with Straight Edge
SOG Hand Axe F09-N is a simple tool that can make all the difference at your campsite. These stripped-down SOG axes feature a 420 stainless steel blade that will make short work of most camp chores, especially with the leverage you'll get due to the ax's hefty weight. The blade of the ax is incredibly thin, measuring just 0.186" thick, and sharp enough to cut through the hardest of hardwoods. SOG Hand Ax, otherwise known as the SHAX, has a sturdy G-10 aluminum grip coated with textured scales for a more aggressive gripping platform. SOG Specialty Knives & Tools has ensured the Hand Ax will last a long time with a protective nylon sheath, included with the Hand Axe. A great companion for any backpacking, hunting, or camping trip, the HandAx is small enough to travel but large enough to make an effective chopping tool. It may be one of the more simple tools in SOG's catalog, but the SOG 420 Steel Hand Axe might also be one of the most effective.
