Google "remove AK Rear sight". All you really need is a flathead screwdriver wrapped in a couple layers of masking tape. Use that to push the spring away from the rear sight leaf, then push the leaf down and out of the holes. Then drop the rail ...

The rail is held above the front sight block bey 3 small steel screws, 2 in front, 1 in back. If the rear of the sight were to be hit hard downward toward the front sight block/dust cover, then I could see this rear screw stripping, making the sight...

A great product for a good price. Quality machining and easy to install. Ensure you have some locktie or similar product when installing. Its smaller size makes for a very clean look when installed. I may buy more for my other AKs.

I tried mounting this on my AK, but it was not a solid fit. Difficult to level and adjust the three allen screws. No wrench included with the mount, so you'll need the correct allen wrench size. There must be better options out there.....

Strike Industries AK Rear Sight Rail Adapter AKRR allows you to convert the rear sight of your AK-47 rifle into a Picatinny rail. With this Strike Industries rail adapter, you can mount low-profile optics directly to the rear sight of your firearm. The rail adapter features quick, one-step installation, plus its Customizable Level Adjustment feature allows you to modify your optics' angle to your specifications. Made out of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum, the Strike AK-47 Rear Sight Picatinny Rail Adapter is built for low profile red dot optics.
