Designed for use with the Surefire M600 Scout Light Refit Kit (Spare Parts) or the Surefire M600 Scout Light Hard Mount (Spare Parts - Non-Rotating) the tough, anodized aircraft-grade aluminum body carries a high-performance lithium battery utilizing the Flashlight Caliber (L) as its power source. Its single-output circuit board is positioned at the front of the light and is inserted from the back (south) side of the light body (south) to sit flush with the host weapon's forend (down when not in use). This type of "forward" mounting greatly increases the range of the weapon-mounted Scout Light and allows for convenient use of an altimeter, a traditional hunting light, or even an Israeli-style sabre-mounted Scout Light with pressure switch. It also allows for fast, tool-less replacement of a standard (OTS) Scout Light with an integrated lithium battery, which is not included with the Scout Light-Spare Parts Kit.
