Almost completely eliminates muzzle flash, even in pitch-black night. The open tine three and four prong Surefire devices are marginally better at reducing flash, but are longer and the open tines can get snagged or plugged up with mud.

As expected from Surefire, the closed tine flash hider mates perfectly with the SOCOM RC2. No ringing like the 3 prong FH. While it lacks the gas channels like the 3 prong, I've had no issues unmounting the suppressor after moderate use.

The SFCT-556-1/2-28 closed-tine adapter closely represents a traditional birdcage flash hider, with wrench flats for easy installation.
