Product is awesome and really REALLY mitigates flash w/ all of the different AR ammo I ran through it. A few hundred rounds of good bad and ugly dirty ammo on an SBR and it works amazingly well. Another great product from SF.

Almost completely eliminates muzzle flash, even in pitch-black night. The open tine three and four prong Surefire devices are marginally better at reducing flash, but are longer and the open tines can get snagged or plugged up with mud.

As expected from Surefire, the closed tine flash hider mates perfectly with the SOCOM RC2. No ringing like the 3 prong FH. While it lacks the gas channels like the 3 prong, I've had no issues unmounting the suppressor after moderate use.

Product Info for SureFire SOCOM Closed Tine .223/5.56 Flash Hider
SureFire adapters serve as rock-solid, precision mounting platforms for SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach Suppressors, as well as, serving as a standalone muzzle device. The SFCT-556-1/2-28 closed-tine adapter closely represents a traditional birdcage flash hider, with wrench flats for easy installation. Just like other SureFire SOCOM muzzle devices, this adapter is precision machined from heat-treated stainless steel which is highly resistant to gas and particle erosion. Additionally, these adapters utilize multiple bearing surfaces to ensure proper suppressor alignment every time.
