The Arrowhead Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) 1-6X24 AR15 Rifle Scopes from Swampfox are Second Focal Plane (SFP) tactical scopes perfect for ARs, carbines, and other MSRs (Modern Sporting Rifles). You can choose between the Guerrilla Dot BDC reticle or MOA reticle. What is an Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) scope? It stands for Low Power Variable Optic, which means an Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) optic has:image

  • Low Power: The magnification is low-power when compared to traditional LPVO Rifle Scopes, starting at a true 1x and going up to 6x (and sometimes 8x, 10x, etc.). Traditional LPVO Rifle Scopes, for example, have a low end of 3x going to 9x, with longer-range scopes starting at 6x and going up to 14x.
  • Variable Optic: This refers to the ability to adjust the magnification from the minimum to the maximum, and anywhere in between. This is different than a fixed power scope that's usually 1x and cannot zoom in with increased magnification.

This Swampfox Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) is ideal on an AR for close to mid-range engagement. The 1x would typically be the default setting, allowing for close quarters and quick target acquisition. With the included throw lever bolted to the magnification ring, you can slap up to the full 6x for longer ranges. Although you can practice and get proficient at longer ranges, the Arrowhead tactical is best used at or below 100 yards.
