Most Helpful Positive Review Did my research
I am very particular when it comes to my scopes that i put on my rifles. Being a combat veteran and former federal law enforcement officer. I wanted something i could trust would handle extreme conditions. So I was looking for a solid LPVO with specific features (As close to true 1x power as possible, Off clicks inbetween brightness clicks, extremely durable, zero reset/ locking turrets, clear glass, decent eye relief and under $400. This scope, and the Riton 1-8x was the two I found that fell in my qualifications and were affordable. I went with swompfox because its 1x with closer to true tha...

Very good LPVO for the price

by Professional Amateur, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on December 19, 2023
Overall this scope is good quality and worth every penny. I really like it! Note: I have not owned many scopes and don't have much that I can compare this scope to.
Pros:
  • Great low power clarity (1x - 4.5x)
  • Reticle is bright and crisp
  • All 3 adjustment nobs feel very sturdy
  • Great lens for the cost
Cons:
  • The light entering the lens at full zoom (6x) is noticeably dimmer, but not by much.
  • Eyebox feels small but not tiny.
  • Flip-up lens covers don't lie flat

Good Optic Great price

by Soundshooter, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on November 29, 2023
This is my third SwampFox. I wouldn't have three if they didn't work well. I use the optics for training. There inexpensive enough to where I don't have worry about dinging them up which I have. Still holds zero. Very easy to make quick adjustment. Might not take it war but perfect for my training needs.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive for the quality
Cons:
  • None so far.
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • tactical training

Good with flaws…

by SNS, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on November 25, 2023
This lpvo is a nice choice for a “starting out” scope. It’s cost effective but not cheap. I have it on an ar-15 chambered in 223 that is zeroed at 100 yards. It was easy to zero. Glass is very clear but it’s difficult to get the whole picture when looking through it. Lots of times there’s a black border around the outside of the glass and I have to move my head around to get that clear glass, no border on the outside view. Every time I used the illumination with a daylight bright setting after a few minutes the scope reticle gets dim. The reticle seems to get quite a bit of “bleed” and I have to use it on a medium setting. This happens in any weather condition. I took the battery out and use it without it. If you’re in the market for a scope to throw on your rifle til you’ve saved up enough to get something better, than this is a good choice. I’ll be using this til I save up for an Eotech.

Bang For Buck

by ck1, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on July 22, 2023
I love these Swampfox LPVO’s. I honestly think they are just as good as the eotech Vudu. I think the only thing that looks noticeably better in the LPVO category is the razor and nightforce but at that point you are getting up to 2-3k. For the price you can’t beat this glass. There was a SF group that switched over to this in Iraq and punished these things and they held up flawlessly. Glass is good enough and they are super durable. Locking turrets, scope covers, throw lever, etc… all the things you want but at a great price. I think these could easily go for 800-1000 at this price it’s a steal.

You won’t regret this purchase.

Great LVPO that’s easier on the wallet. Clear and bright glass with decent eye box. Reticle is nice and bright for midday sun. Locking turrets with nice solid clicks. I’m very happy with the purchase. Only thing that I don’t like is it’s made in China.
Pros:
  • quailty and Price
  • Bright & clear
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • ar platfrorm
