Product Info for Tikka T3x Metal Bolt Shroud Retro-fits T3 For Upgrade

The T3x is a metal bolt shroud that retrofits T3 for an upgraded look. On a T3x the bolt actually moves forward as a result of the design of the shroud creating a small funnel effect that cools the bolt rapidly as it heats up. This design has proved to be a superior heat sink for hot fast bolts but the heat from the bolt actually cools the gaseous blowback within the shroud causing heat to be expelled out the backward towards the shooter. Because of this the shooter can choose a T3x bolt shroud without any functional difference. T3x, therefore, is an improved T3 to T3 upgrade that serves as a low profile cosmetic upgrade for T3 rifles with longer free floating bolts.image
