What barrel nut does this use?

This handguard slides over and is compressed to a standard AR barrel nut, which is not included. If you are replacing a standard plastic handguard and your barrel nut is in good shape, then you are good to go after removing the spring and ring from the nut. Otherwise, order a standard AR barrel nut if you purchase this handguard to replace a handguard using a proprietary nut.

Really a great handguard. Rigid and aligns easily an flush with a flat top upper. I suggest buying the Troy brand barrel nut though. Most their rails use standard m4 barrel nuts and as such they produce a higher quality one. First tried on a cheaper ...

If you're looking for an extremely minimal and light weight M-LOK rail for a 16-inch carbine length AR then go for it. This goes about an inch past the Superlative Arms Low-Profile Gas Block which is what I was looking for.
