First focal plan the reticle gets bigger when you zoom in . Second focal plane it stays the same size at any zoom .

The scope is bright and clear. I like the illuminated dot vs an illuminated crosshair. I have not had a chance to test it in low light, so I won't rate it a 5.

Good scope, amazing warranty. Amazing support. Put it on a single shot .17 Mach 2 so recoil won’t be an issue. Eventually it may go on a 7mm Remington Magnum. Looks good and is a great size for the feature set.
