Zeiss does not specify the country of origin for the glass used on their riflescopes. I would recommend reaching out to them directly for more information.
Take this review with a grain of salt. I am not a firearms expert, but I am a well experienced eye doctor. We use zeiss microscopes in surgery so maybe I have a slight bias.

Clarity better than most. As it is first focal plane it is hard to use mil marks until 5 plus power. Scope is very heavy. Zero stop would be nice. Weight biggest issue.
