This is about the lightest pair of 12X25s you can find. The optics are very good, I do not hunt so I cannot compare them to more expensive units, but I did some dusk owl hunting in a group and I did get to compare these against some 50 mm objectives ...

Incredibly small and lightweight, Nikon ProStaff Waterproof 12x25 All Terrain Binoculars 7486 are tough as nails and can go anywhere and take whatever you-or nature-dish out along the way. Long eye relief (15+mm), turn and slide rubber eyecups and a click-stop diopter adjustment are just a few of the user-friendly features on this Binoculars. The rubber-armored body, aspherical eyepiece lenses, lead-and-arsenic-free Eco-Glass are things you would expect to pay much more for. Add multicoated Nikon optics and waterproof, fogproof, performance and you really have great value in a Binoculars. Nikon Sport Optics has engineered the optical system in Nikon 7486 ProStaff ATB Waterproof 12 x 25 Binocular to deliver close focus distances of under ten-feet.
