Two alternative mounting systems are included with the Suunto Orca-Pioneer Boat Compass, including a rubber cord with hooks for easy mounting and detachment, and a permanent mounting bracket for surface mounting. This Compasses from Suunto Brand is buoyant, with a waterproof elastic elastomer housing to defend against bumps and scrapes. The luminous card of the Suunto Orca Pioneer Boating Compass can be activated by flashlight and stay bright for a long time. Even a nail or small screw makes this compass inaccurate to the point of being useless. Pros: Easy to install Cons: Grossly affected by any wiring or ferrous metal.
