In 2009, Talon Grips was founded by a law enforcement officer, competitive shooter and armorer who knew that polymer grips became slick in both hot and cold conditions and invented a better alternative for gun grips. The first prototype was cut out by hand using a razor knife and used a sheet of skateboard tape to fit a standard issue Glock 21. Talon Grips creates their firearm grips using a patented design process to wrap a single piece of material around a polymer pistol grip creating maximum coverage with minimal bulk. Talon Grips materials are less than 0.5mm thick and add almost no bulk to the firearm yet provide a non-slip, solid grip. Unlike earlier products, Talon Grips uses materials and adhesives that are designed to stick to polymer, last longer and come off clean when replacement or removal is necessary.
