Why does the product description say “ requires a carbine length gas hole “ on the mid length version page. Is the description incorrect? Expert Answer

The Adams Arms P Series Micro Block Mid Length Piston Kit requires 9.866" from barrel extension to shoulder. Where it says carbine length it is a typo and should say mid length.

I've used the Adams arms piston kit in a mid length format on 2 occasions. I've never had a jam outside of setting the gas during set up which is normal for an adjustable block.

Product Info for Adams Arms P Series Micro Block Mid Length Piston Kit

The Adams Arms Piston System: A short stroke free floating piston system. Is Self-Cleaning. Carbon and gases are expelled forward, away from operator. Corrosive resistant coating processes. Harmonics are not transferred into the barrel. Doesnint vent directly to atmospheric pressure; this eliminates flash signature and supersonic crack which is optimal for night vision and suppresses fire. This system requires a mid gas length (9.866in from barrel extension to shoulder) and a .750in gas seat. This system will work with .223/556 x 45 mm NATOimage
