However, the Barnes VOR-TX 9mm Luger 115 grain XPB ammo has the same velocity as their +P ammunition which would lead me to believe that it is +P. Just about any loading with Barnes xpb (same as their tac-xp) is a great self defense load. Good to great penetration and expansion while also being lighter recoil so follow up shots are quicker. Love these and shoot them in all my pistols. Optics...

I never shot monolithic copper bullets before. I normally carry SIG V-CROWN JHP. Barnes VOR-TX 9mm Luger, 115 Grain fires well and reliably in a SIG P320 X-Compact. Multiple ballistic tests and results can be found on YouTube.

The all-copper XPB bullets are designed for superior expansion and weight retention, which results in deeper penetration than ordinary non-lead 9 mm Luger Ammunition. These accurate Barnes XPB 9mm rounds are ideal for self-defense but also the lead-free design makes them suitable for hunting or shooting in areas that prohibit the material.
While Barnes XPB bullets have traditionally been aligned with large-caliber handgun hunting rounds, the 9mm is a new venture. And it makes sense.
