The Hell's Canyon Max LR is designed to bridge the gap between long range hunting and precision competition. It has all of the performance-driven features made famous by the X-Bolt, all rolled into a revised action with additional bolt guidance for smoother bolt operation. Optimized for long range accuracy, the lengths of the fluted, heavy sporter contour barrels run 2" longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26") for added bullet velocity. The muzzle is belled to accommodate the larger 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threading. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. Whether you are a hunter or an aspiring competitor, if you are looking for extra magazine capacity, the Hell's Canyon Max LR delivers with the Plus Magazine System. It uses their proprietary Plus Magazine, a single stack, extended design that holds 5 or 6 rounds depending on the cartridge. The Plus Magazine retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt rotary magazine and uses the same center feed design - two features designed prevent damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading to the chamber. The Plus Magazine System has easy insertion and ejection with a convenient side mounted release button. This great looking rifle features a barreled action that is treated to a durable Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish. The spiral fluted bolt features an extended handle and ergonomic knob for confident bolt cycling. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.) The Max stock is designed to help improve your shooting confidence by offering the adjustments necessary to adjust the stock to fit your body and dial-in fit for shooting at extended ranges. The easy to adjust comb places your eye in perfect alignment with your optics. Your ideal length of pull measurement is achieved with the included stock spacers. The wide fore-end has a flat bottom for added stability from the bench. Up front, a Picatinny rail is included to mount both a sling and bipod. The vertical grip places your hand in perfect position, from the bench or prone, to manipulate the tang safety and optimize reach to the trigger. Browning OVIX camouflage provides maximum concealment against a wide variety of natural backdrops. The 1-1/4" thick Inflex recoil pad tames felt recoil.
