The Covert IWB Handgun Holster Alpha is constructed of black, fused, swaged Kydex. The forming process of forming the holster mouth around the firearms trigger guard is called lashing. One end of the forming process is made by grasping the top of the handgun frame with one hand while the other end grasps the trigger guard with the other. One end of the forming process has a pressure sensitive backing that allows the shooter to "feel" the presence or absence of the firearm and the backup safety that stops unholstering from any direction. The shooters can adjust the draw weight, and set the tension on the draw by how hard the draw is. It is imperative to understand that a persons drawing style can change throughout the course of the holster. The Alpha is a true IWB holster in that the shooters hand is protected by the holster while holstered. It must be returned to the holsters position every time. The holsters can be used in all positions except when in the crotch area of the gun. Because the holster is mounted so close to the body it is very difficult to detect or detect with a draw. The Alpha must be used with a light.
