If it does not fit the Prodigy then why does it say that it does in the description notes. "This ignition kit is a great upgrade for the Springfield P Manufacturer Answer

EGW has specific Ignition kits for the Prodigy, you just need to get the kit with the SKU ending in -P. The Prodigy is picky and requires a short sear and different sear spring.

I was not sure if this ignition kit would really make a difference on an already well built gun. But I must say, the ignition kit got rid of the “disconnector” hang up that most prodigy owners complain about. A must for the Springfield Prodigy!

I have thsese each one of my 1911s.Even the new ones gets swapped with EGW trigger kit.Easy install no gunsmith needed.Just little adjustments and you'll have a clean crisp 3.5lbs trigger break.(depending on how you adjust your sear spring).

This kit is not 100% drop-in and should be installed or checked over by a competent gunsmith prior to shooting. Our hammers should not be coated by applications that require the product to be heated. These coatings heat the hammer and can cause the hammer to become brittle.Some coatings such as Robar's NP3 will work fine, but please consult the coater before to make sure the process is safe for heat treated components.Coating The Hammer can Lead To Fractures And Will Void The Warranty.image
