Fab Defense states that the texture/material on the Gen 3 PMAG interferes with the MWG making it difficult to insert the magazine.

These magazine well grips are meant specifically for mil-spec lower receivers that are standard forged lowers. It is not guaranteed to work with billet lowers or lower receivers that differ from a standard mil-spec lower with no flared magazine well.

I can't recommend this unless you're FAB Defense fan and all your magazines are from FAB. My magazines (from another manufacturer) do not slide in, because they have a notch on them. Have to shave my magazines or by some FAB magazines to make it work...

I've used this product for many years and would recommend for anyone. If ur lower is not a milspec it may require a bit of modification, I use a dremel but for a good hand hold and flaired mag well it is perfect.

Skeptical about buying becauss previous reviews said that it fit the magwell to snug and required editing. That was not the case on my colt 6920le. Fits perfect and an empty magazine still falls from the magwell with the press of the release.
