This 4.25" Commander 1911 is built on the Original Series 70 Colt design and boasts an all-steel configuration that exudes durability and toughness. Unlike other pistols that use plastic, the Freedom Series Riptide is built to last, with the frame, slide, and barrel precision CNC machined from bar stock.
Expertly fitted by our skilled gunsmiths, the frame, slide, and barrel work in perfect harmony to deliver exceptional accuracy right out of the box. The HD chrome barrel with a 1:16 twist rate offers excellent accuracy and easy cleaning, while the positive barrel lock-up ensures superior precision.
Featuring a lowered and relieved ejection port and a tuned power-style extractor, the Freedom Series Riptide delivers improved performance and reliability. The traditional 70 series design is also compatible with standard Colt-style replacement parts, ensuring easy maintenance and repair.
Changing out sights is a breeze with the standard dovetail (Novak compatible) sight cuts. And, with premium red cocobolo exotic hardwood grips, the Freedom Series Riptide not only feels great in the hand but looks great too.
