The Guntec USA AR .308 Cal Slip Over Barrel Shroud w/Multi Port Muzzle Brake covers 4" of the barrel so you will need a handguard that has an internal diameter of 1.2" or larger if it is less than 4" from the muzzle.
Love this thing! Looks badass on my 16” w/ a 14” rail. Mitigates the recoil a little bit, but not S much as some higher end compensators. But for the price point, you really can’t lose buying this. Head turner at the range for sure.
I was so excited to submit my review, however I have not yet tried to use it to notice a difference. I installed on a 16 inch barrel with a 15 inch handguard. Fits very smoothly inside and has made this look so clean.

Happy with this buy. Given the current pandemic I splurged for expedited shipping. There was a slight blemish in the finish but I don't put that on opticsplanet at all, but the manufacturer. If you're going for looks with some function can't complain...

Product is made for a long barrel gun. so if you have a 10.5 barrel or less i wouldn’t recommend unless you can cut it. i have an 8.5 and i had to cut it almost in half for it to screw on. other then that its a great product. I’ve shot with it on and...

Just installed my AR-10? .308? 300 AAC Blackout? Looking for a barrel shroud that does double duty on your existing shroud/ muzzle brake setup? The AR-10 .308 comp is a dual purpose unit that functions as a barrel shroud and a muzzle comp in one easy to install unit. The AR-10 .308 comp is manufactured from T6 aircraft grade aluminum and features a black anodized finish. The slip over function allows the user to easily install the muzzle comp on the existing shroud then remove it and put the AR-10 Shroud / Muzzle Comp on the .308 threaded barrel. The shroud will cover the majority of a .308 round, reducing felt recoil up to 70 percent. The disc style muzzle comp ports ensure that the muzzle comp remains fully seated every time. By squeezing the threads of the shroud against the barrel throat, the multi-porting function of the compensator functions as a muzzle brake, reducing felt recoil up to 70 percent.
