This product does what it claims and substantially reduces AR bolt carrier spring noise. Not sure it is necessary for regular rifles, but with suppressed subsonic rounds like the .300 Blackout, the products true usefulness comes into it's own.

The JP Enterprises Silent Captured Buffer Spring, .223 With Weights offers you the consistency and durability you need in your AR-15 type rifle parts. These AR15 Buffer Springs from the expert craftsmanship of JP Enterprises include a spacer to allow for installation in both carbine-length and rifle-length buffer tubes. For optimal use, the JP Enterprises Silent Captured Buffer Spring, .223 With Weights is recommended with short-barreled rifles, suppressed weapons, rifles recommended to use an H2/H3 buffer, select t-fire rifles, and piston-operated rifles. They will not function with Primary Weapon Systems bolt carriers as the design of the carrier would pervent the rifle from cycling.image
