This is an awesome addition to my AR build. Made with quality parts. Customer service was great. Will order another one soon. Read several reviews prior to purchase. Also called JP Enterprises direct on technical questions prior to ordering. They are extremely helpful and friendly.

Great product! Recoil reduced after installation. After replacing hand guard and stock with lightweight products, rifle had much more recoil even after installing a heavier buffer. Smooth and quiet charging. Liked it so much, I purchased another one for my other AR. Highly recommended.

This is an awesome replacement buffer for any custom ar build. It takes a lot of the spring noise out of each shot. The bolt comes back smoother and much more controlled then a standard ar spring and buffer. Be sure to remove the buffer detent pin. You can put it in with out removing it but it makes it a pain to take out for cleaning. The grooves on the weight will get stuck on the detent pin and it will take u a while with a flat head screw driver to push the pin down, as I had to do. So be sure to remove the detent spring and pin. I would highly recommend this product to anybody wanting the best for there gun. It really did make a difference. I'm running it in a 2 Vets Arms 300 blackout, with no problems.
Pros:
- Smoother
- quieter
- Easier to disassemble
Cons:
- Removing buffer detent pin
Best Used for:
- Surppressed rifles
- Custom Ar's

This spring is a lot smoother than the original spring. Easy to install. Just make sure you don't install it backward. Look at the picture and read the instructions. Reduces vibration and noise.
I'll know more when my supressor finally makes its way here through all the ATF red tape. It does add a little more weight though.

This product does what it claims and substantially reduces AR bolt carrier spring noise. Not sure it is necessary for regular rifles, but with suppressed subsonic rounds like the .300 Blackout, the products true usefulness comes into it's own.

JP Enterprises Silent Captured Buffer Spring is a terrific upgrade to the AR-15 buffer system, acting not only as a great heavy buffer replacement but also removing the loud metallic noise from the buffer spring generated by the action of the weapon. This model can be used in both a 5.56/.223 and .300 blackout weapon systems. .300 blackout is where the silent captured spring really shines. When using a suppressor with .300 blackout subsonic ammo, a normal buffer spring is obnoxiously loud. The silent captured spring eliminates the noise and significantly quiets the weapon even more. Installation was quick and easy. Highly recommended.
Pros:
- easy installation
- very effective heavy buffer
- eliminates sound from buffer spring
