The broad Golden Ring on this Leupold scope is a symbol of its optical excellence and rugged durability. It?s what?s inside that makes the Vari-V III arguably the definitive scope for shooting in low-light conditions, thanks to its superior light-management qualities. The argument is over when you also consider the VX-III has excellent clarity and contrast, an expansive field of view, ample non-critical eye relief, and Multicoat 4, Leupold?s proprietary anti-reflective lens coating. Its construction has also helped make the VX-III an industry marvel and a favorite of shooters. Parts are precisely machined, deviations in some critical areas are less than 0.0005? with zero clearance in sensitive sliding surfaces. The result is a scope that not only feels uncommonly solid and well built, it will last for generations of hard hunting. You?ll be able to feel and hear the quality in every tactile and audible click of the Windage and elevation adjustments. Four clicks move your point of impact one inch at 100 yards. Once sighted-in, use the pointer dials to return quickly to zero after making field adjustments.
