I bought this for a .308 caliber rifle, and it held steady. It has teeth that fit in the picatinny rail gaps to make it extra sturdy. The leading name brand wanted $148, so I saved $120 and shot 50+ rounds with no loss of zero.

The Monstrum Extended Series Scope Mounts are built specifically for long range scopes - 6-24x magnification scopes and above - with longer dimensions and larger adjustment housing. With wider spacing between the two scope rings, the Extended Series Scope Mounts can accommodate scopes with larger segments that will not fit into standard one piece scope mounts.The mount is built for standard 30 mm tube scopes for mounting to any standard Picatinny rail equipped rifle.The mount base mechanism comes equipped with custom Picatinny locking bolts that slot seamlessly into your Picatinny rail with zero wiggle - holds zero against the toughest of recoil.
