Can you mount this night vision to a rifle or is it too sensitive?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Kevin, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on December 08, 2020

Due to the delicate nature of the device attaching it to a firearm may not be advisable. A dedicated night vision scope that is rated to handle the recoil of a firearm would be a better option.

Why does the add say Gen-3+ but the spec says Gen 2+ "Level 3"?

This could be a mistake. Gen 3 will be listed as 3AL3 or 3NL3 for level 3. Gen 2 will show AL3 or NL3

Unfortunately because of the sensitivity of these units, we can only follow the manufacturers recommendation for the battery which is a AA battery. You would need to get direct confirmation from AGM to use a CR123 battery in these units.

The difference between white phosphor and green phosphor is the color of the image you are seeing when looking through the image tube. White phosphor has a whiteish blue tint, where as green phosphor produces a green hue.

Not sure which you are comparing to. "3AL1" would be GEN 3 GREEN PHOS, "3AW1" would be GEN 3 WHITE PHOS . AW1 OR NW1 would be Gen 2+ white phos. AL1 or NL1 will be Gen 2+ green phos.
