One of the answers to the question previously seems to point to this buffer tube is NOT 7075 aluminum but 6061. So this buffer tube is not 7075 ?

No. This JE Machine Tech AR-15/M4 Adjustable 8 Position Fluted Buffer Tube is Hard Coat Anodized 6061 T6 Grade Aluminum. It is a Mil-spec tube adjustable to 8 different positions.

Will this fit a stock Smith and Wesson m&p 15 sport 2 or do need buy spring and other stuff or will it not fit at all? Thanks

This buffer tube can replace the factory buffer tube that came on your S&W M&P-15 Sport without the need for any additional/new parts.

This buffer tube is 7.25" in length. The length of pull for each position will depend on the stock being used.

I will always refer to the information provided by the manufacturer on the website for that item. Our AR15 8 Position Buffer Tube is machined from high strength 6061 T6 grade aluminum to Mil Spec diameter to fit your favorite Mil-Spec carbine butt stocks.
