The "Cummerbund" will just be the cummerbund while the "Cummberbund Kit" will come with the cummerbund and flap.

Where can I get just the flap for the cummerbund? I didn’t Read the reviews before ordering what the picture shows.

Unfortunately, the flap is not available separately. It can be acquired via the cummerbund kit.

AR500 cummerbund, so this is totally useless without the pouch or can it be used on my veritas lite without the whole kit?

You can use the cummerbund on the Veritas lite, you can purchase the model without the whole kit.

How does the cummerbund secure onto the plate carrier? Through the MOLLE system or Velcro? How is it detached for donning and doffing?

The front flap secures inside the Veritas’s lower admin (kangaroo) pouch, then closes onto the Velcro® on the front of the Veritas. This makes for a functional closure to hold the two ends of the cummerbund when worn.
