The ATN OPMOD Exclusive ThOR LT 3-6x50mm Thermal Rifle Scope has a detection range of 475 yards, recognition range of 240 yards and identification range of 160yards. How far you can actually shoot with the ATN OPMOD Exclusive ThOR LT 3-6x50mm Thermal Rifle Scope will depend on other variables, so there is not a specified max range to shoot.

Does it use a near infared LED bulb to illuminate the target? Does it use a barometer in the IR sensing mechanism? They are deciding factors in buying

This is a thermal and does not "illuminate" the target and it also does not make use of IR illuminators. This functions off of infrared energy or heat. The Thors sensors and Germanium lens pick up infrared heat signatures and generate an image using the Thor's internal system and displays the generated image onto a 1280x720 HD Display. In regards to the "barometer", ATN makes no mention of a barometer for the ATN Thor-LT units as they are stripped down units that exclude many of the features found in the standard Thor models.

Yes, the ATN OPMOD Exclusive ThOR LT 3-6x50mm Thermal Riflescope will work on an AR10 and ATN states these detection ranges.

Does the OPMOD void the Manufacturer Warranty? Please clear up the fine print for me?
