This is not the correct length for an ar10 308. It says the rifle length gas tubes are 15.125 that's correct for 223 but for 308 it's 15.5. Why?

Battle Arms Development states that these gas tubes are compatible with the AR15 and AR10 platform. Pistol 6.6875in, Carbine 9.8in, Mid 11.75in, Rifle 15.125. If you wanted more information, I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly.

I ordered the Proof Research 24" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Will this gas tube work with it?

Yes, your barrel should use the rifle length tube.
