Alright the reason for this is that the 34mm mount sits at 1.35” centerline height over rail, while the heavier 1” and 30mm mounts sit at 1.5” and 1.6”, respectively. (Yes I answered my own question.)

The Bergara B-14 HMR uses Remington 700 scope bases. To mount the Vortex Venom 5-25x56mm scope on that rifle I recommend using one of the scope bases at the link below and the Vortex Precision Matched Rifle Scope Rings at the second link below. I recommend using either the 1.26" or 1.45" rings.

Will this fit the Vortex Venom 5-25x56mm riflescope?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 31, 2022

Yes. The Vortex Venom uses a 34mm tube, therefore, the Burris AR-PEPR Scope Mount 34mm w/ Picatinny Rail will fit. However, depending on the platform(rifle) you are mounting this on, you may want higher or lower mounts/rings. I'd recommend emailing us at Techsales@opticsplanet.com and letting us know what your specific build is, that way we can determine what the best scope mount for your application will be.

Yes, this mount will fit that optic. There will be sufficient clearance for that optic.

Most rifle scopes have either 1" or 30mm main tubes. Some larger optics use larger diameter main tubes up to 40mm. You will want to determine specifically what diameter your main tube is as using the wrong rings can cause inconsistency in the scope.

The 34mm tube might help, but 40moa is a lot of angle, that might be too much for distances under 800+ meters.
