Would it work with a stern defense mag adapter ? So u could use glock mags instead of arc from cmmg

No, it will only work with the full size AR magazines that have been converted to 9mm.

Does the 9mm upper use glock or colt mags? Do I have to use a cmmg 9mm lower?

The 9mm can use a standard AR 15 lower but you will need to use cmmg ARC MAGAZINES!

This CMMG, Inc BANSHEE 300 Series Upper Receiver Group has been discontinued by the manufacturer. But all CMMG upper receivers will include a bolt carrier group and charging handle.

Do I need the CMMG Lower Receiver in order to use the 45 Upper?

No. The CMMG, Inc BANSHEE 300 Series Upper Receiver Group are designed to work with any mil-spec AR15 lower/CMMG Mk4 (when used with 9mm conversion magazines), as well as CMMG Mk9(Colt mag), MkGs(Glock mag), and Mk17(Sig P320 mag) lower groups.

The MKG is a lower receiver made for Glock style magazines and the MK4 is made for AR15 style magazines.
