With some mods, yes. You would need to change out the chamber adapter from your bolt group, to the barrel collar that CMMG makes for these. The collar lives on the bolt carrier assembly, but it can be installed just like a 5.56 BCG, all together from the rear of the upper. Do it, you will be so happy. I did it because I got tired of cleaning my 5.56 chamber, and star chamber locking lug teeth. 22 shoots dirty, and a dedicated 22lr barrel makes cleanup waaaay easier. Hope this helps!!
The CMMG, Inc Barrel Sub-Assemblyy, 22LR, 16in barrel is threaded for 1/2x28. So a standard AR15 5.56/.223 muzzle brake will work. The muzzle brakes at the link below will work.

No, this is meant to work without that kit.
The CMMG, Inc Barrel Sub-Assemblyy, 22LR, 16in 22D7C0A should work with an M&P15-22.
Yes. The CMMG, Inc Barrel Sub-Assemblyy, 22LR, 16in barrel will be able to utilize any free float handguard. It does not require a gas block, so slim-line handguards will fit and function without issue. This barrel also Includes a barrel collar to replace the chamber adapter on your 22AR Conversion.
No gas block or tube is needed with this barrel . I am not even sure I have ever seen a 22LR barrel that ever used a gas block and gas tube
The CMMG, Inc Barrel Sub-Assemblyy, 22LR, 16in should work with the S&W M&P15-22.
The weight of this barrel is roughly 2 lbs.
No, this barrel will not include a barrel nut. It should work with most barrel nuts on the market though.
