Does the 20" barrel take the standard AR-15/DPMS rifle length gas tube or the Armalite rifle length gas tube?

It is designed to use a standard AR-15 rifle length gas tube (15.125" overall length) but a longer "Armalite" length tube can be used (15.525" overall length).

what length of gas tube for the 18" heavy fluted barrel?

What the torque spec?

LR-308 barrels should be mounted with between 35 and 80 ft/lbs. Check with the manufacturer of your barrel nut/handguard as they may have a specific torque requirement.

Is this barrel capable of handling off the shelf 7.62 ammo?

This barrel has a .308 Winchester chamber so can function with some 7.62x51NATO ammunition, but it has a tighter headspace tolerance window than 7.62x51NATO ammunition so some rounds may not chamber. We recommend using only .308 Winchester marked ammunition for best performance.

Yes, our barrels receive thermal stress relieving after rifling and go through additional stress relieving during the QPQ nitride process.
