Yes, this barrel will work with an upper that has M4 feed ramps cut, but the "big bore" feed ramp on the barrel extension will not line up with the M4 cuts. This should not impact the function of the rifle.

I have been e-mailing Faxon they recommend an upper WITHOUT M4 feed ramps. Some users report issues with jams when the lower has M4 feed ramps.
