No, it will NOT work in a MR556. The MR 556 has a firing pin safety that cannot engage unless you have a taller hammer. There is a geissele trigger that made for MR556/HK 416. when you look at that hammer it is a little taller to release the firing pin safety.

This trigger will fit in the receiver. It will "click" for dry fire. However, if you try to actually shoot, it will not actually engage the firing pin and shoot anything.

Is this a nfa item? if not does require a m16 bolt carrier?

Answered by Armando R., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on July 24, 2018

This is not an NFA item because this will not make a semi-auto lower work in full auto. This is just a trigger group for a full auto capable lower receiver. The lower receiver needs to be a full auto lower to be able to make use of this trigger group.

Will this work with a three round burst lower?

A
Answered by Walter65, guest, from KS, United States, on December 15, 2021

No, the 3 round burst trigger for an AR15/M16/M4 has a disconnect cam wheel that is part of it's trigger. There is no way to attach that cam wheel to this trigger.

Will this work with a regular semi auto lower ?

A

Yes, it will. So long as the lower is capable of accepting mil-spec trigger groups this trigger should function fine.

The Geissele SSF Super Select-Fire Trigger for M4/AR15 rifles will come from the factory with a 4.25 - 4.75 pound trigger pull. This is a two-stage trigger with the 1st stage trigger weight range of 2.75 - 3 pounds and the 2nd stage pull weight of 1.5 - 1.75 pounds.

There are two product versions. Which one should be used in the AR-15 Lower? the HK416?

A
Answered by Matt S, member, from PA, United States, on April 18, 2019

Both will work in a standard AR15/M16 lower. The HK416 version is equipped with a bit more metal at the top of the hammer to engage the HK416 "secondary safety". With that being said - the standard M16 version will also work in an HK416 but the "secondary safety" feature will not.

If you plan to ever own an HK416 upper it may be wise to purchase the HK version.
