I want to switch between this and my 5.56 upper. Any updates needed for my rifle if I buy this upper? Buffer spring, trigger, upgraded bcg?

You would need to purchase a 7.62x39 specific bolt, 7.62x39 AR15 compatible magazines, and you may need to tune your recoil system with a different buffer (H3 buffer should work in this case).
