It will not work with a prism scope. Prism scopes and magnifiers both require a certain amount of eye relief. This means that they will not work properly when lined up in front of each other. Red dot magnifiers are meant specifically for holographic and reflex sights and will NOT work properly with prism red dots/scopes.

I have mine on a Primary Arms SLX 1X MicroPrism and it works great. I didn't have any issues with focus or image quality. And I have mine as close together as they will go.

It depends. Currently have a PA 1x prism scope, and have successfully used a 3x magnifier with some caveats. The issue is with both eye relief and diopter adjustment. Placing the 3x magnifier directly behind a prism scope, meaning virtually no gap between them is a no-go. Through trial and error I was able to mount the magnifier at the proper eye relief for the prism scope. Now for the diopter adjustment. If you have poor vision this can become problematic, depending on the severity of how far you adjust the diopter on your prism optic. Simply put, you can be focused with the magnifier up, or down, but not both unless you make adjustments between the two. Hassle, for sure. If all you are doing is range time...maybe not a great hassle. If this is meant for self defense it will not be ideal. An additional issue is when illuminated there was some ghost tracing, or streaks, as you move. Still making adjustments to see if I can eliminate this. Hope this helps.
