Will this work with the vortex strikefire 2?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Hunter, Gear Expert, from OH, United States, on December 02, 2022

The Kinetic Development Group SIDELOK Mount for the COMP M4 will not work with the Vortex Strikefire II. That red dot does not share the COMP M4 mounting footprint and can only be mounted using a 30mm ring.

What witness does this mount provide with a PRO?

Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on March 10, 2022

The Kinetic Development Group SIDELOK Mount provides 0.65" of height from the bottom of the rail to the top of the mount. This will translate to an optic height of about 1.4" or an absolute co-witness.

This should definitely fit the top rail on the VR80. It should mount from the side of the rail and rock onto the slot from right to left. The "lever" should be in the pushed in and when it gets mounted the "lever" will come out to the locked position. Here is a good video showing a Sidelok being mounted:

This is just a replacement base for the Aimpoint ring mount, so if you do not have their mount for the CompM4 already, you would have to purchase the ring mount separately and then swap this base onto it.
