Would this be the correct buffer for a 458 SOCOM with a 12" pistol gas system barrel and a carbine buffer tube? which spring would you go with?

No. I would recommend using a buffer that weights between 5.0-5.4oz (H3 Buffer). I would also say using a standard spring would be ok unless you started to notice reliability issues. Then I would consider upgrading to a different spring.

Is the RB5000 of the RB 5000HB better for a 10.5” upper in 5.56 using a 3 position FRT trigger?? I’m also using a JP enterprises extra power spring?

Is this considered an H2 or an H3 buffer?
