Like the other non expert on other question, he’s wrong. The braided 42 wire if you simply look at can see it’s a wider than OEM spring so only the buffer made to fit inside the smaller diameter spring made by same manufacturer is all that fits. Simply put to make things easy for all the Silent captured springs and blah blah other gimmicks, the Kynshot AR15 hydraulic buffer and flat wire David Tubb’s recoil/buffer spring is with zero doubt the best and smoothest system you’ll ever run hands down. This I say after building around 20 ground up AR’s in both platform sizes and in most all calibers(some a few times over)and hands down the aforementioned spring is hands down the best spring you’ll ever buy and never once heard any twang or spring noises in any way so no need for the gimmicks that limit you to proprietary parts. Having the ability to use standard or upgraded buffer springs is just a smart and easy thing to do. And same goes for even the hydraulic buffer since at any time it can be swapped out for OEM and then it’ll be put right back in after one round is fired as the hydraulic kynshot buffers are truly amazing. Tip… want the smoothest gun after you’ve got the aforementioned parts, buy a buffer tube that has the extra long tangs that is on either side of the lowers detent since it makes it so the bolts carriers tail section will sit on top of those tangs so the carrier doesn’t have to step up on the buffer tube which happens with all OEM style buffer tubes. This is also especially good to do for piston driven builds where carrier tilt is just a logical part of how the system works if you look into carrier tilt. My mom’s Superlative Arms piston kit, Kynshot buffer, Tubb’s spring, buffer tube with sort of feed lips(you’ll know it when you see it)will make for a super smooth shooting with super low recoil that feels like a powerful BB gun at most. Hope this info helps!
